Ordering from Us: We offer a number
of different ways to order - from parties to one-to-one
sessions either in the comfort of your own home, or
at one of our family friendly home locations. We also
hold sessions at craft fairs, NCT sales/events and
childcare centres/nurseries.
We use a special compound called Precious Metal Clay
into which we skilfully and carefully capture fingerprints.
The process is completely safe and will not harm your
loved one. The clay, developed by Mitsubishi Technologies
in Japan during the 1990s, is non-toxic and is softer
than plasticine to touch. Once dry, the items are
sanded to remove any impurities then engraved by hand
and fired, turning the silver clay compound into 99.9%
pure solid silver. All items are then hand finished
to a satin or high shine finish, as specified by you.
All our jewellery is boxed, wrapped and sent to you,
ready for a birthday or christening gift, special
occasion or simply as a special keepsake treat –
after all, you’re worth spoiling!
DIY Casting Kit: We now offer a
DIY (postal) casting kit, that can be used to capture
your loved ones' fingerprints from the comfort of
your own home, at a time that suits. The kits cost
£10 (in addition to the jewellery/keepsake you
order) and contains everything you need to create
casts of your loved ones' fingerprints. It's really
simple to do, with no complicated instructions and
takes about 2 minutes of your time. Not only is it
quick and easy, but ideally suited to young children
and you can even do it when your child is asleep!
Once we have received the cast impressions back we
will create your chosen piece(s). All of our fingerprint
jewellery is handcrafted in 99.9% pure silver and
includes hand inscriptions of your loved ones' name/age
or a short message. One major benefit of the DIY casting
kit is that impressions can be reused again and again,
so we can make future and/or multiple orders from
a single print! We catalogue all impressions and archive
them for 12 months from the date of print.

Please check your order form carefully for spelling
mistakes or errors. We cannot accept returns or offer
refunds on any of our personalised jewellery and keepsakes
unless the item is defective or isn’t the correct
item as shown on your order form. Your statutory rights
remain intact at all times.
EU customers have the right to a 7-day cooling off period,
during which they can withdraw from purchase. However,
this does not apply to bespoke artwork, personalised products
and made to order items. For more information on your

Delivery: We aim to have all orders
delivered within 2 weeks from the date the prints
were taken/delivered back to us.
Unless specified, the cost of delivery is included
in the price you pay for your jewellery or keepsake.
All orders are delivered either by hand or using Royal
Mail Special Delivery. This service offers next day
delivery and includes insurance up to £500.
If there is no-one at the address given on the order
form to accept delivery, you will be notified of an
alternative delivery date/place of collection. If
items are returned to us by Royal Mail, we will contact
you to arrange re-delivery. Please note, we reserve
the right to pass on additional postage costs to you.
In the unfortunate event that your delivery doesn't
arrive within 10 days of posting, please email us
info@a-lastingimpression.co.uk and we will follow
up with Royal Mail. However, please bear in mind that
where fault lies with the postal system, Royal Mail
wait 20 days to classify a parcel as lost, therefore
we will only be able to arrange re-casting after this
time.
Guarantee: Our reputation is your
guarantee. As an added measure, we enclose care
leaflets with all orders, detailing the best
ways to look after your jewellery or keepsakes.
However, to ensure customer satisfaction, we ask you
to check your order on delivery. If peices are damaged
or faulty please inform us within 7 days of delivery
and we will be happy to rectify the issue. If you
do not make contact within 7 days we shall accept
no liability for any loss or damage. This does not
affect your statutory rights.
We cannot be held liable for any loss or damage once
you take possession of your jewellery. Please be aware,
that with the exception of cufflinks and brooches,
we do not solder our jewellery fittings (including
jump rings). We can however arrange to have jump rings
professionally soldered closed for you at a fee of
£5 per jump ring/fitting.
Privacy Policy: We do not, and will
not, disclose your details to third party companies. If
you do not wish for us to contact you from time to time
with details of special offers, please specify at time
of ordering, or email us at info@a-lastingimpression.co.uk
Returns Policy: In the unlikely
event that you need to send items back to us, we recommend
getting proof of purchase from the post office and
the use of a ‘Signed For’ Royal Mail or
Courier service (only Royal Mail Special Delivery
includes insurance up to £500). We cannot accept
responsibility for products lost or damaged in transit
back to us. Items returned to us in their original
condition and packaging will be re-made or repaired.
We will email you to let you know we have received
the item and when you are likely to receive the replacement/repaired
item.
Your rights to return goods are protected under the
EU Distance Selling Directive which can be found at www.hmso.gov.uk/si/si2000/20002334.htm
